Preparatory field surveys, studies as well as operational and technical plans are essential for the proper preparation of the implementation of the project’s conservation and monitoring activities. In this context the project includes four preparatory actions. These actions determine the vegetation structure and plant species diversity of the alluvial forests, assess the ecological requirements and habitats of the Mediterranean monk seal, as well as marine plastic debris, derelict fishing gear and interactions with fisheries, analyse the socio-economic conditions for the sustainable development of Andros island Natura 2000 sites and finally prepare technical plans for the implementation of the conservation and monitoring actions.
