Invitation for Voluntary Beach & Seabed Cleanings

The environmental organization All For Blue in collaboration with MOm/ Hellenic Society for the Study and Protection of the Monk Seal are organizing an all-day coastal and underwater cleanup in Andros Island within the framework of the Life Andros Park project. The aim of the action is to restore the important habitats of the Mediterranean Monk Seal on the island of Andros. The action will take place on Sunday, September 18th at 09.30 a.m. and we invite all certified free & independent divers who wish to take part. We aim to remove marine debris as well as raise awareness in the local community. Relocation of the permanent exhibition entitled “Flora of Andros”

The relocation of the permanent exhibition entitled “Flora of Andros” to the Agadaki Estate in Patouria – together with the project's Botanic Garden – was successfully completed. The exhibition is open to the public according to the Botanic Garden's visiting schedule. The family of Elli Stamatiadou expresses its gratitude to the Board of Directors of the Kaireios Library for providing the space to highlight Elli’s Mandaraka Stamatiadou work as a collector of 23,000 plants from our country. These collections are archived and form the basis of the collection of the Goulandris Museum of Natural History in Kifissia (Athens).
